In April of this year I accepted
the challenge of blogging every day of the month using the alphabet as my
guide. But if you’ve followed me at all, you know our move took precedence over
all of my life. Nevertheless, I continued to blog through the alphabet with my
most recent letter being “S” for Settled.
Fast forward to today and new
challenges to make me write—daily blogging for November and writing devotionals
with the intention of publication submissions…
My life truly has settled down.
Things are beginning to make sense again. Boxes no longer absorb the energy of
our home. So, it makes sense that my
November blogging should focus on Thanksgiving; not just the holiday, but my mindset.
A grateful heart is a gratified heart, a heart of peace and contentment.
I am thankful that He is the same
every day in every way—the same yesterday, today, and forevermore…the same in
Montana as He was in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Alaska, and Texas!
I am thankful that He has known
my thoughts, my anxieties, and my joys.
I am thankful for His strength to
maneuver the obstacles of this year.
If not for His consistent
presence in my life, I would have crumbled in the darkness a closet. Instead, I
shed many tears, prayed a lot, and pressed through the chaos.
“You
know when I sit down and when I get up.
You know my thoughts before I think them.
You know my thoughts before I think them.
You
know where I go and where I lie down.
You
know everything I do.” Psalm 139:2-3 ncv
